Hi! I'm Sally, Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner and owner of Aesthetics4you.
I trained at The Nightingale Institute at King's College London and qualified as a Registered General Nurse in 2000. After a few years of working in an acute hospital, I moved out into the community and trained to become a District Nurse. Having completed my PG Dip in Advanced Nursing Practice and my Independent Prescribing qualification, I have worked for 13 years as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, both in the Community and latterly in General Practice.
I started my career in Aesthetic Medicine in 2017. Having undertaken basic, and bespoke Toxin and Dermal Filler training with Cosmetic Courses, I progressed to advanced practice, whilst also expanding the range of treatments that I offered. I have attended numerous aesthetic conferences and training days dedicated to specialist treatments such as Tear Trough filler and Profhilo. I participate in regular continual professional development, updating my knowledge and skills to ensure that my clinical practice is safe and evidence based. I am currently undertaking the Level 7 Postgraduate Certificate in Aesthetic Medicine with the Harley Academy.
I hold a current registration with the NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) as a Registered Nurse, Specialist Practitioner and Independent Nurse Prescriber. I am a member of the RCN (Royal College of Nursing),the BACN (British Association of Cosmetic Nurses) and ACE (Aesthetic Complications Expert Group).

Botulinum Toxin A (Botox) has been used for over 20 years to successfully treat facial lines. Botox temporarily weakens and relaxes the muscles that cause frown lines and wrinkles, resulting in a dramatically smoother, fresher, younger-looking appearance, without affecting normal facial expressions. Most clients opt for a very natural look; nevertheless, the effects of Botox are outstanding which is why this is the most popular cosmetic treatment in the world.
The most common facial areas for treatment are:
Frown lines between the eyebrows
Crow’s feet or smile lines around the eyes
Horizontal forehead lines
Frown lines, lip lines, forehead lines and crow’s feet lines become deeper and more pronounced as we age; This is because we keep using these muscles when we laugh, frown or purse our lips.
Botulinum toxin A (Botox) has been licensed for the temporary improvement in moderate to severe lateral canthal lines (crow’s feet), glabellar lines (frown lines between the eyebrows) and horizontal forehead lines.
There are other areas which are commonly treated with botulinum toxin. Gummy smiles, Bunny lines, Smoker’s/Lip lines, Platysmal bands (turkey neck), Slimming of the jawline, Chin dimpling, Brow lifting, and Excessive Sweating can all be treated with toxin. Although this is ‘off label’ (not specifically licensed for this treatment), these are well established and have evidence to support their use.
Botulinum toxin is injected, using a fine needle, into the target muscle to temporarily block the nerve signal, resulting in weakening of the muscle action which can result in an improvement in the appearance of lines of facial expression. Botulinum toxin can only treat lines of expression - dynamic lines, and not static lines.

Dermal Fillers provide an instant result that will significantly reduce or even completely smooth out wrinkles, whilst maintaining a natural look. Dermal fillers can also be used to add volume to cheeks and other areas of the face which have deflated over time due to gravity, ageing or dieting. The Dermal Fillers used are a synthetic form of Hyaluronic acid. This is found naturally in our bodies, but decreases in our skin as we age.
Tiny amounts of the clear natural Hyaluronic acid gels are placed under the skin using a very fine needle. This plumps out lines, folds and wrinkles - leaving skin which is firmer and smoother. The gels contain a local anaesthetic to help minimize discomfort.
Dermal fillers can be used in most areas of the face and some areas of the body. Injections are administered using a small needle, a cannula or both. Dermal fillers are most commonly made with Hyaluronic acid (HA). This is a naturally occurring substance, which is a major component of our skin and has a function in wound repair, hydration, and cell to cell communication. One of the main characteristics of hyaluronic acid is that it effectively binds water like a sponge, which is why it is an effective tissue filler.
Commonly treated areas include:
Oral commissures (corners of the mouth), Jowls
Nasolabial folds (nose to mouthlines), Upper and lower cheek
Marionette lines (below the mouth corners), Chin
Tear trough (hollow beneath the eyes), Jaw line
Smoker’s lines (above and below the lip), Temples
Lip Augmentation - As we age, our lips lose their plumpness and begin to look thinner. Lip augmentation and enhancement is a very effective medical procedure for lifting and re-defining the contours of the lips and for providing fullness and volume. Adding a small amount of Dermal filler to your lips can help restore a more youthful proportion to them, leaving you appearing years younger and feeling more confident, without it being obvious that you have had anything done. Most people are after a subtle and natural look; however, more dramatic results can be achieved if desired.
Tear Trough - The tear trough is a groove that lies between the lower eyelid at the inner corner of the eye and the upper cheek. A tear trough deformity (or hollow orbital rim) refers to the deepening of this groove which often occurs as a normal result of ageing due to changes in the bone, fat and skin. Small amounts of a non-viscous HA can offer fantastic correctional results.

Reported to be the 'injectable moisturiser'
Profhilo is a unique stabilised injectable hyaluronic acid. It is BDDE-free and has one of the highest concentration of HA on the market (62mg/2ml). It not only boost and hydrates the skin, it treats skin laxity and remodels ageing and sagging tissues. Collagen, fat and elastin in within our skin decreases markedly as we age; This results in the loss of volume and the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles along with a general dulling of the skin.
Profhilo has been held as a revolutionary product for rejuvenating skin, adding lustre, and combatting the signs of ageing. Primarily, it is used to treat the face but it can also be used to rejuvenate the neck, décolletage, hands, arms and even knees.
Initial treatment is a course of 2 sessions, 28 days apart. A single maintenance treatment is then advised every 6 months, or sooner if preferred.
2 x 2 ml Treatments, 4 weeks apart - £400
Maintenance recommended every 6 months - 1 x 2 ml Treatment - £225
Dermaplaning is a form of manual exfoliation. A medical grade, sterile blade is stroked along the skin at an angle to gently “shave off” dead skin cells from the epidermis.
Dermaplaning also temporarily removes the fine vellus hair of the face, leaving a very smooth surface. As with any type of exfoliation, the removal of dead skin cells allows homecare products to be more effective, reduces the appearance of fine lines, evens skin tone and assists in reducing milia, closed and open comedones, and minor breakouts associated with congested pores.
Dermaplaning can also be done in conjunction with a chemical skin peel or with the ‘WOW’ treatment, in order to help ensure better penetration of products or greater exfoliation.
Standard Dermaplaning - £35
Peel to Glow Dermaplaning - £45
Non-surgical fat reduction– fat dissolving injections - DesoFace / DesoBody
Localised fat deposits are subcutaneous adipose tissue accumulations in specific anatomical areas. They can be unsightly and unresponsive to normal diet and exercise. They can be successfully treated with intralipotherapy.
Intralipotherapy uses a adipocitolytic solutions that contains natural cleaners. The sodium deoxycholate solution is injected directly into the fat layer. The fat undergoes cell lysis and a process of degradation, and is then disposed of through the lymphatic system.
More than 1 treatment will be required (usually 3, at intervals) and time is needed to achieve the desired outcome due to its gradual action.

Micro-needling uses numerous fine, sterile needles to puncture the skin creating microscopic channels. This stimulates the body's natural wound healing process whilst minimising cellular damage.
This intentional, controlled injury results in the increased production of elastin and collagen within the skin, resulting in thicker, plumper, firmer and smoother skin.
Micro-needling is perfect in combination with other treatments, such as Mesotherapy, as skin care products are able to penetrate more deeply into the skin via the micro-channels, making them more effective.
Skin appearance can be notably improved in as few as 3 minimal invasive treatments spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart.
1 Treatment - £80
Course of 3 needling sessions - £220
LED - Light Emitting Diode - Light Therapy
Each LED wave length (different colour) of light provides a unique therapeutic benefit.
LED is good for all skin types and is non-invasive, painless and requires no recovery time. Red LED activates the fibroblast cells and is fantastic as stimulating elastin and collagen production and combatting the signs of ageing.
The Blue LED is known to destroy acne-causing bacteria beneath the skin's surface; it decreases inflammation and improves the skin’s tone and texture. LED therapy can be used as a stand-alone treatment, or as the perfect complementary treatment following micro-needling, chemical skin peels or dermaplaning.
